Identity Theft is NOT OK!

One thing I have found to be extremely disturbing and being victimized is the Identity Piece! For months I was shown pictures of a man whom I thought was the person I was having conversations with! Months later to my knowledge this identity was stolen! This man claimed to be "Austin Scott" to some others he went by "Dylan Scott", "Austin Justin Scott", but he was using the Identity, the pictures of a man in Brazil, a public figure in Forex Trading, Victor Gratidao. Does now Victor also become a Victim? Does his family? Does his wife who is a famous singer and model? Yes, they all do. Victor's Company in Brazil M4 Capital is being sought out by investors constantly and Victor gets 500 emails daily asking if he is this person whom is using HIS OWN IDENTITY!!! Is this right??? NO IT IS NOT OK!!! So, because Victor is handsome, they use him. He is successful, they use him! He is a public figure, they use him! How can we hold Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Telegram, LinkedIN, Twitter, Google, Pinterest, Tik Tok, accountable for our own Identity's being stolen? How do we bring transparency? Why is it if you use other platforms and put in a user name, it may ping and say you can't use this user name it has already been used, BUT pictures do not have this feature? How can people get away with stealing identities and it be OK and we have to be the ones to report in order to get it shut down or their profile shut down? How can it be ok to have your pictures stolen, your families pictures for criminal gains? How can platforms NOT be held accountable for allowing this to happen repeatedly to different individuals? Don't they understand that the world is being victimized one person at a time! If your a beautiful person, you take the chance to be used for evil? This is ok in their eyes? This is NOT ok! One person at a time, one step at a time to bring transparency because in our community and as the community manager I am here to teach, listen and learn how to help fight back against these criminals! As, a community we need to fight back these heinous crimes. With AI technology it is already getting worse. Not only did "Austin" use Victor's identity in photos, he used it in an actual Video Conversation with me! An, AI camera! I hope together we can take a step closer to holding platforms accountable for information stolen!!!
