About

The Dark Night Online | PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE: TDNO DARK ANGELS. How Angie Lamothe is giving a voice to the people.

There is a tendency for crypto crime fighting organisations to focus on bragging quantitatively (numbers) about how much of this or that they are achieving.

Yet who is providing qualitative (quality) evidence from the testimony of people who are represented in those numbers, proof that those numbers are effective at genuinely helping people?

Angie is reaching out to victims of crime to HEAR THEIR STORIES, curating what feedback to help improve victim support across the public service agencies who are supposed to support them.

PUBLIC SERVANTS and PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ORGANISATIONS are equally accountable to serve the public interest with an integrity that is genuinely for THE PEOPLE.

You are going to hear directly from the victims of crypto, cyber and financial crimes about their real world, on the ground experience, across public institutions that are not telling the whole story.

To assist this, the TDNO community is creating naming conventions for a support group that reflects how they feel they want to step up to turn the lemon of their loss experience into lemonade, shifting from Victim to Victor.

82% like the name DARK ANGELS.

DARK ANGELS are people who have committed to work in the dark of night online to help restore the dignity of people who have been victimised by Crypto, Cyber and Financial Crimes Romance, Elderly, Crypto Fraud.

TDNO Community manager Angie Lamothe says,

"So many victims feel so shamed and blamed that they feel they can't come forward and talk to anyone. Being a Dark Angel is about being a 100% support to help victims feel valued, that they are not just a crime that happened, they are a person, not just a number or an incident. It's about overcoming the feeling that nothing is happening and being 'actively patient' while Law Enforcement do their job processing evidence."

Dark Angels use their personal experience of crime to share the tools that help prevent crime, while also providing emotional and psychological support to help improve recall from statement of facts and process evidence from chat conversations to assist investigations.
